15/01/2019 - Free movement of goods: post-Brexit agreement to test the exchange of goods and services

argomento: News del mese - Diritto Internazionale e Comunitario

Articoli Correlati: Brexit

Under the agreement on Brexit, with regard to trade flows and trade in goods and services between two parties, U.K. and E.U., goods legally placed on the market in the E.U. or the U.K. before the end of the transition period can continue to move freely up to the final destination, without the need for product changes or new labeling. Therefore, the goods that will still be in the distribution chain at the end of the transition period will be able to reach end users in the E.U. or the U.K. without having to meet any additional requirements. In the same vein - to keep the flow and exchange processes as unaltered as possible - the Agreement guarantees that goods already placed on the market can continue to be made available in the U.K. and in the European Union even after the end of the transition period.
