On 24th of March 2022, the Court of Justice of the E.U. with judgment C-245/20 has established the the choices of communication to journalists decided by the judicial authorities in the exercise of judicial functions cannot be subjected to the control of the competent authority for the processing of persona data. And this also when journalists access documents from the judicial file that contains personal data, thus leaving ample room for the choices of the Courts.
