The European Smart Textiles Accelerator, a three-year European SmartX program, envisaged and financed within Horizon 2020, provides a total financial contribution of 2.4 million euros from the partners of the SmartX consortium, to finance and support the acceleration of innovative SME projects or start-ups operating in the textile sector and active in the value chain of intelligent textile production in Europe. Each reality will be able to obtain up to 60,000 euros during the year, in addition to mentoring and coaching sessions (up to 200 hours) provided by 13 European partners making up the consortium. The aim of the measure is the development of smart fabrics for emerging European markets: health and well-being, protection and sports or industrial applications, including transport, architecture or interiors. In particular, SmartX represents an opportunity to establish transnational collaborations between companies.
The next call will be available until February 15, 2020 and an application can be made using a very simple procedure.
